The Upminster & District Probus Club's monthly lunch meeting. The bar opens at 10.30am, club business starts at 11.30am and a three-course lunch is served at noon, followed by the speaker; the meeting ends about 2.20pm. This meeting includes the club's Annual General Meeting. Speaker: Andy Stuart – "Armistice Day: Where the guns didn't stop". Menu: Winter vegetable soup with roll and butter. Pork And Apple stew, and appropriate vegetable and potatoes. Bread and butter pudding, finish with tea or coffee. Retired professional and business men are welcome to come as a guest to see what the club is like. Book your lunch by 6pm on the Sunday before with the club's lunch coordinator ([email protected]); pay £25 in cash on the day or by bank transfer. Dress code: jackets and ties, no jeans.
